What a .ce domain is

A name on the CEagle nameserver, held by your account and edited from the console.

A .ce domain is a name your CEagle account holds, served by an authoritative nameserver CEagle runs. You register it in the console, set its DNS records there, and the nameserver answers for it about a minute later.

It belongs to the account, not to a project#

A domain is not a product inside a project. It sits beside your projects, under Domains in the console, and nothing about it is scoped to one of them. A project needs no domain, and a domain needs no project.

That also means every project you own may point at it. One name can carry an A record for a server, a CNAME for a page and a TXT record for whatever wants proving, all at once.

One name per account#

An account holds one name. Registering asks for a label of four characters or more, using lowercase letters, digits and hyphens, and it may not start or end with a hyphen. A short list of names is reserved for the platform.

The name is yours until you release it. Releasing takes the records with it and returns the name to the pool, where anybody may register it next.
